NEAFL COMMISSIONER 

JOHN CIEPLENSKI

 

            THE NEAFL is proud to have John Cieplenski as its Commissioner, for the last 15 years .

** Born in Whitesboro, NY John grew up playing Midget Football for the Whitesboro Warriors Pop Warner Football Organization. He recieved many outstanding lineman awards.

 John later Played 2 years for Whitesboros Junior High team as a 7th and 8th grader.

 

**** John moved to Vineland NJ , where he played four years of football for Vineland High School and received All Cape Atlantic and All South Jersey honors for offense and defense as a Center and a DT.

 

** A brief College career after going to School at Rowen and  Cumberland in NJ , John's football career was thought to be done.

 

**Then John went on to play Semi Pro Football for the Cape May County Devils , the New Jersey Knights , the South Jersey Giants , the South Jersey Mastadons , where he then retired from football . After a 2 year retirement John returned to play one more year with the New Jersey Pitbulls until finally retiring for good.

 

**In those years John was an All star in the IFL, NAFL, DFL, and the ECFA. As well as being an All Star .

 

**John had National All American honors 6 times  at 4 different positions.

 

**Later in Las Vegas Nevada,  John was inducted into the American Football Neaws Minor League Football Hall of Fame.

Beside playing football John dedicated coaching youth football in Millville , NJ from 2005 to 2013, where he coached 120 wins and only 16 loses
 

*From 2010 to 2014, John was an active board member of the Arena Football League (AFL) Philadelphia Soul.

 

* 2013 helped CoachTeam Navy to victory  v.  Army in the first ever Indoor Army/Navy Football game on Comcast Sports Network.

 

*2011 to 2012 was North Commissioner and created the NEAFC and joined with the  ECFA . The ECFA seen its biggest growth to that date.

 

**2013 He managed to build the NEAFL and go on his own  ,  and it has been one of the most Equally , fair , professional, and respected  ran leagues on the East Coast and the Nation .

 

**2013 John built the XEFL - Xtreme East Football League  for the  Fall football season,    and was a success , and now entering its 11th season in 2023.

*With a career around football , and all John has done for the sport we all love , we are glad and honored to have him as our Commissioner of the NEAFL

The NEAFL would like to announce it's newest board member for the Spring 2023 Season.
As league we are trying to grow and head into 2023 season  in a positive way , with many new changes. Spending 10 years in the NEAFL franchise and winning a lifetime of championships , Mr. Townsend knows Semi Pro football in the NEAFL area .

With 6 Championships under his belt , and a  dozen All star appearances , as well as a top Pic every year for the All NEAFL Team, we are also proud to announce the NEAFL DOMMINIC TOWNSEND NEAFL DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE YEAR AWARD coming in 2023.
